Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Has a Baby Girl

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , the Indian actress and former Miss World, gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday, her husband, Abhishek Bachchan , confirmed on Twitter. "IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!" wrote Abhishek Bachchan, 35, a Bollywood actor who married the former Miss World, 38. In 2007, Aishwarya Rai had been called the most beautiful woman in the world. The baby girl was born at the Seven Hills Hospital in the Mumbai suburb of Andheri. Bachchan's father, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan , also Tweeted about the new arrival, calling her "the cutest baby girl."

On Tuesday, October 18, 2011 Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had her baby shower (Godh Bharai) at their residence at Jalsa in Mumbai , India. The Gody Bharai was hosted by Aishwarya’s mother in law and Amitabh Bachchan’s wife Jaya Bachchan. Abhishek Bachchan flew in from Jaipur where he was shooting for Bol Bachchan (2011) and his sister, Shweta flew in from Delhi. But father in law Amitabh Bachchan missed the celebration given he is in Australia shooting for Hollywood film The Great Gatsby. As per Indian customs, Aishwarya will go stay with her mother after the baby shower and the Rais will follow their own customs and traditions.
Six months pregnant Aishwarya shoots an ad for Lux

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is about six months pregnant and she is still able to fulfilling her commitments. Aishwarya recently shot an ad for Lux soap in Bangkok. Dressed in a peach grown, she looked elegant and stunning and was full of energy. Her baby bump was quite evident. Her costume was designed by ace designer Manish Malhotra while her makeup was done by Mickey Contractor. After completing the shoot in Bangkok, she flew off to London with her husband Abhishek Bachchan.
Madhur Bhandarkar Not Happy About Cancelling Heroine

Madhur Bhandarkar has finally come out and spoken his mind about the way former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , handled the announcement of her pregency. The movie was announced at the Cannes on May 13, 2011 with shooting to start on June 7, 2011 but on June 21, 2011, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan announces via Twitter that her daughter in law is 5 month pregenant. Per Mr. Bhandarkar the movie was written for Aishwarya and required huge canvas of around 40 locations in which heavy-duty scenes involving massive crowds are to be shot, actress being mobbed, adult content, heavy-duty scenes involving physical exertion, and actress was required to smoke on screen and given Aishwarya condition it was deemed that she would not be able to do just to the part as written. Mr. Bhandarkar feels that Aishwarya could have handled the matter by either not signing the film, or letting him know about the pregnancy directly vs via the news channels.

Kareena Kapoor To Be Added To Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor will be added to the Madame Tussauds wax muserm along side other Bollywood personalities like Amitabh Bachchan , Aishwarya Rai , Shahrukh Khan , Salman Khan and Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara (2010) . Kareena's wax statue will be unveiled at the new Madame Tussauds museum in UK’s Blackpool September 2011. Then it will tour other museums in the US, Europe and Asia, starting with Bangkok in January 2012, followed by Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna and ending at London. Kareena, also known as Bebo, is currently busy shooting with Salman Khan for their upcoming film Bodyguard (2011) . Kareena is the brand ambassador of a Size Zero laptop, has a pizza and clutch purse named after her and now she will be immortalised in wax.
Heroine Starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Kickoffs Today

Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming movie Heroine (2011) starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , Arjun Rampal and Arunodya Singh begin shooting today in Mumbai, India. The movie is produced by UTV production and was announced at the Cannes Film Festival on May 13, 2011. Manish Malhotra will style Aishwarya in the film.
Here is the synopsis released along with the press note at Cannes:
"The film is based on the life and times of a superstar heroine from Bollywood. It is said to be an entertaining, daring, emotional, shocking, glamorous, scandalous behind the scenes account of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamor that the film stars inhabit. For a country obsessed with films and film stars, Heroine will take audiences on a voyeuristic journey to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of make up rooms and vanity vans. It will give them a chance to go beyond the gorgeous smiles and politically correct quotes, to see what really happens in the lives of India's sweethearts - The sniping the politics, the secrets the lies, the incredible highs of fame the lonely depths of failure." Bhandarkar considers this film to be his magnum opus.

The Slumdog Millionaire (Crorepati) (2008) star Freida Pinto has been selected by L'Oreal as the new Indian face of L'Oreal replacing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan . Freida Pinto was recently featured in L'Oreal 'Happy New Year' TV commercial with the other brand ambassadors, but there was no Aishwarya. Aishwarya has been with L'Oreal since 2005 while Freida joined in 2009.
