Asin Thottumkal Biography

	Asin Thottumkal was born October 26, 1985 in Kochi, Kerala, India. Asin is an Indian film actress. She started her film career in 2001, at the age of 15, in Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka. In 2003, Asin won ‘Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award’ for her role in “Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi”. She made her place in the Telugu film industry by giving other hit performance in Shivamani, Lakshmi Narasimha and Gharshana. Asin made her Tamil film debut in M. Kumaran son of Mahalakshmi. Asin made her big breakthrough as leading South Indian actress was her Tamil film, Ghajini, for which she received Tamil Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Asin appeared in her first dual role in Dasavatharam (2006) in which Kamal Hassan who portrayed ten roles. Her big Bollywood breakthrough came with Ghajini Remake (2007), a remake of her Tamil film of the same name.
