Prachi Desai was born on September 12, 1988 in Gujarat, India.
Prachi is an Indian television actress. She is best known for her role as Bani in the TV serial Kasamh Se. Prachi won the Best Fresh Face of the Year Female 2006 award at the Sixth Indian Telly Awards. Prachi was a contestant on the second season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Prachi did well on the dance show but was voted off midway thru the season, but then made a surprise return via the wild card to then later win the title of Dancing star of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2.Prachi began shotting for her first film Rock On in February 2008 with director turned costar Farhan Akhtar.
