Kamal Hassan Signs Mallika Sherawat For Tamil Film Dasavadharam Date: 08/03/2006 Mallika Sherawat has been signed by Kamal Hassan for his Tamil Film Dasavatharam to play one of the lead roles. She will be playing the role of a grey character in the film, who masterminds conspiracies leading to conflicts. The film will have Kamal Hassan playing 10 different roles. The budget of the film is around 30 crores and is scheduled for release in Hindi and Telugu.
	Will Kareena Kapoor Make An Appearence In KANK? Date: 08/03/2006 Now the rumors has it that Kareena Kapoor will make a cameo appeareance paired opposite Arjun Rampal in the most awaited film of the season, Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK) which is scheduled to be released next Friday August 11, 2006. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan , Abhishek Bachchan , Rani Mukherjee , Shahrukh Khan (SRK) and Preity Zinta , with guest appearance by Kajol , John Abraham and Arjun Rampal and now Kareena Kapoor.
Karisma Kapoor On The Small Screen Date: 08/03/2006 Karishma Kapoor has been signed as one of the judges by Sony Entertainment television for their upcoming dance show called Jhalak Dikhla Jaa along with Farah Khan, the third judge has yet not been finalized. Karishma Kapoor was previously seen in the TV soap called Karishma and her Bollywood film, Zamaanat , that has been delayed for a while will soon be released. The movie stars Karishma Kapoor , Arshad Warsi and Amitabh Bachchan .

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK) star cast include Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) , Rani Mukerjee, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan , and Preity Zinta is scheduled for release for August 11th 2006.

The stars include Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) , Priyanka Chopra , Zayed Khan , Malaika Arora Khan and Celina Jaitley . Bombay Vikings will perform some numbers. India�s tennis star Sania Mirza lost to Russian fourth seed Elena Dementieva in the $1.3m Acura Classic WTA Tour tennis event in San Diego, California but managed to advances in doubles match with her partner Liezel Huber of South Africa by beating Anna Chakvetadze of Russia and Jill Craybus of the USA 7-5 6-2. But Sania Mirza and Liezel Huber then lost of German-American pair of Anna Lena Groenefeld and Meghan Shaughnessey in the quarterfinals. Mirza and Huber, who won the Bangalore Doubles earlier this year, lost in straight sets of 6-2, 7-5.

Sixteen-year-old Michelle Sung Wie bogeyed the opening three holes at the Women's British Open being played at Lytham St. Annes, England. Michelle Sung Wie did manage to birdie the last holes for a two over par 74 in the first round. While Juli Inkster shot a 6-under 66 to take a three-shot lead in the opening round. Maria Horth and Silvia Cavalleri are tied for second with 69s. Annika Sorenstam finished with a double-bogey, bogey to get to even-par 72. Wie has sponsorship contracts with Nike Inc. and Sony Corp. The Honolulu schoolgirl next month will become the second female to play in a men's European Tour.

Indian tennis star, Sania Mirza , beat former world no. 11 Meghan Shaughnessy in the first round of Acura Classic at San Diego, California. Sania Mirza won the game in straight-set 6-3, 6-1 in just over an hour. The Hyderabadi will now face Katarina Srebotnik of Slovakia. Sania and her South African partner Liezel Huber had earlier moved into the second round with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Canadian-Slovak pair of Maurin Drake and Tina Krizan they will now play Russia's Anna Chakvetadze and Jill Craybas of the US.
