Lage Raho Munnabhai Oscars Entry Date: 10/02/2006 Lage Raho Munnabhai will be submitted to for the Oscars as an independent entry. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has decided this after the much success and fan demand of the film. The movie is also scheduled to be screened at the University of Southern California on 27th October for the college cinema students and the press from Hollywood.
10/03/2006 Sanjay Leela Bhansali gets bail from court for a case against him for a fire that destroyed property worth Crores during the shooting of his previous movie, Black. Current the director is busy shooting, Saanvariya (Saawariya) , which stars two star kids Ranbir (Son of Rishi Kapoor) and Sonam (Daughter of Anil Kapoor).

Vipul Shah is currently directing his next film called Namaste London starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif which has been caught up in a minor controversy. The controversy happended when Katrina Kaif entered a holy shrine in Ajmer wearing a skirt. Since then Vipul has decided to delete those scenes from the movie.

Microsoft and Hughes plan to develop 5,000 broadband-enabled information and communications technology kiosks across rural India. The kiosks are scheduled to be deployed in 200 small towns and rural regions.

HP, Hewlett-Packard Co., will be building a 2nd computer manufacturing plant in India to meet the growing demand for computers in India. The plant will be operational by March 2007 and will be located in Pantnagar, which is about 125 miles northeast of New Delhi. The new plant will have a capacity to assemble 300,000 units a month to include computers, workstations, notebooks and servers. The other plant is located in Bangalore.

Delhi government is considering declaring the outbreak as an epidemic after the number of dengue cases rose from September last year to this year to 448. The national capital has reported 121 fresh cases in the past week, and has killed 11 people so far. Dengue virus is spread by the bite of female aedes mosquito that breeds in clean stagnant water. The disease could spread further in the next two months because the present weather helps in breeding of aedes mosquito.
