special midnight screening of her latest movie
Umrao Jaan
at Film City. He had visited Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai with her family during that day.
Aish was born on Novenber 1, 1973 in Bangalore, India and rose to stardom
after she won the coveted crown of Miss World 1994. She made her film debut with Mani Ratnam’s
Tamil film Iruvar in 1997 and in Bollywood the same year with Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.
Her 1999 film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam brought her success.

Akshay Kumar
brings Special Olympics torch to India. The torch was
passed to Akshay by Pakistani Cricketer Wasim Akram at Wagah Border. It was
lightened at The Lord’s stadium in London, then it went to Wagah and now Akshay will
bring it to Mumbai for the Special Olympics which will begin on Nov 6, 2006.

Reliance Retail Limited has launched Reliance Fresh, its fresh food outlets,
stepping into the into retail business. The first retail stores will open in Hyderabad on Nov 3, 2006.
The first retail outlet was opened to media in Banjara Hills neighbourhood.
It will offer a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and other products in a world-class ambience.
Ambani's wife Nita Ambani, is in charge of branding and has designed the stores.

Motorola Inc’s, Padmasree Warrior, executive vice- president and chief technology officer
believes the future is in Wi-Max and 4G. Currently India uses 2.5G technologies and
BSNL is seeking to rollout 3G networks and has placed an order for equipment worth $5 billion.
Warrior is seens as the India IT industry’s poster girl and rated one of the four most influential women
executives by Fortune magazine. Motorola has the proprietary Canopy wireless broadband solution which it has
taken up in Rajasthan for a pilot project.

Australia beats India in the 12th ODI of the Champions Trophy by 6 wickets. The match was played in
jab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali - Chandigarh where India won the toss
Elected To Bat. India scored 249 for 8 in 50 overs. Australia
then batted to 252 for 4 in just over 45 overs to win the match.
The Man of the Match was Damien Martyn for his batting performance scoring 73 runs
which included 8 fours. For India V Sehwag scored 65 runs, R Dravid scored 52.
