| | Rani Mukherjee Losses Land Date: 03/28/2008: The Maharashtra government took over the land Rani Mukherjee had purchased near Shirdi after the official determined that the purchase was illegal. Rani has paid Rs 33 lakh in December 2005 for the land, but the land could not be transferred to her name as it was owned by the government and leased out to a farmer. | | Rakhi Sawant Replaces Tanushree Dutta Date: 03/27/2008: Rakhi Sawant has been signed to perform an item number in forthcoming movie Horn Ok Please (2008) being directed by Rakesh Sarang starring Muzzamil Ibrahim and Rimi Sen . This happended after the Tanushree Dutta , use was to do this item number, acted unprofessionally after she found out that her session with choreographer Ganesh Acharya was a rehearse for the dance steps vs the real shot. Tanushree was also upset after we began shooting and she stated to object to certain dance moves that involved the dancers to touch her. She locked herself in makeup van for many hours and hence the producers decided to replace her with Queen of Item Numbers, Rakhi Sawant . | | Lindsay Lohan as Marilyn Monroe in "The Last Sitting" Date: 03/24/2008 Back in 1962, Marilyn Monroe posed for photographer Bert Stern for a series of shots that are now known as "The Last Sitting." The photos were taken over a few session at the Hotel Bel Air and are are amoung the most famous photos of one of Hollywood's most famous actress, Marilyn Monroe. Now Stern has attempted to repeat of famous shots with Lindsay Lohan . | | Deepika Padukone In Bangkok Date: 03/24/2008: Deepika Padukone is currently in Bangkok shooting for Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk To China (2008) along with costar Akshay Kumar . It also happens that Ranbir Kapoor is also in Bangkok not to be with girl friend Deepika, but instead to shot a photo session for Filmfare magazine. Other Bollywood stars currently in Bangkok include Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna , Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao shooting for Neera Vora's Shortcut (2008) . And Priyanka Chopra and Saif Ali Khan were in Bangkok last week for an ad shot. |

Bollywood And Hollywood Movie News: | World News, Technology News: | 03/27/2008: Comcast and BitTorrent have agreed to become collaborators. A while back Comcast admitted to disrupting file sharing traffic based on the BitTorrent protocol which has caused some stir in what constitutes appropriate "network management" by Internet service providers. Comcast will no reconfiguring its networks to be manage data in a "protocol agnostic" manner. | 03/25/2008: Tata and Ford are all set to ink the deal on the future of Land Rover and Jaguar. The first part of the agreement would be the signing of the memorandum of understanding, or MoU, which is expected to be done in London Tuesday and then followed by an official announcement on Wednesday. The acquistion will probably be low key and is expected to fetch USD 2-3 billion for Ford. This will mark a new future for Tata, who recently announced the people's car , the Tata Nano. Tata's Ratan Tata will be at the signing. | 03/24/2008: Blackberry service providers must work with licensor Research in Motion (RIM) of Canada to provide full proof security system in the country by March 31, 2008 or must stop the services. The Blackberry service is currently being used by over four lakh users and stopping the service will not allow these users to access email in form of SMS. The service is currently provided by AirTel, Reliance and Vodafone. The major issue seems to be that the encryption process applied to email utilizes servers that are located in Russia, United States or Canada, but no servers in India. The Indian security agencies feels that messages through the service cannot be accessed by local security authorities and hence may affect the national security of India. | Sport News: | 03/28/2008: Virender Sehwag seems to be out to prove his critics wrong. After being out of test cricket for over an year, he is back with a bang. Sehwag scored the fastest triple century in Test history. India batting second after South Africa scored 540 for 10 started off with Virender Sehwag and Wasim Jaffer in which Sehwag ended the day with 309 not out. Sehwag also become only the third batsman to pass 300 twice in Test cricket along with Sir Donald Bradman and Brian Lara.
