Akshay Kumar is flying high these days with 4 for 4 last year. He starred in four films last year, , and all of them superhit at the Box Office. This year he has starred in Tashan, the movie failed but Akshay was praised for his performance. Now Akshay will be hosting a TV show called Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi . He will also be receiving an honorary doctorate from University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada . The doctorate is being give for his social work in Canada.

21 Indian firms made in the list of top 100 BPO firms in the world per a new study lead by International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) managing director of Thought Leadership, Jagdish Dalal. The list included five firms in the top 10 best outsourcing service providers, (No.3), TCS (6), Wipro (7), Genpact (9) and Tech Mahindra (10). The other 16 Indian companies are HCL Technology (11), Mastek (16), WNS Global Services (19), Hexaware (22), ExlService (26), 24/7 Customer (28), Cambridge (36), ITC Infotech (40), KPIT Cummins (42), Patni (46), Zensar (53), MindTree (54), Mphasis (56), Aditya Birla Minacs (62), FirstSource Solutions (73) and Cross Tab (78).

Today, India successfully test fired a surface to surface nuclear capable Agni-III missile with a range of 3000 km range. The missile was launced from Wheelers Island off Orissa coast and it achieved its full range and accuracy by reaching its pre designated target in 800 seconds. India now joins a select group of nations having intermediate range ballistic missiles (IRBMs) with ranges upto 3000 kms.

Google annouced the launch of a way to transalte websites to Hindi using its popular Google translate application. This shows the importance and the expansion of the India online market. Other innovations targeted to the Indian market include Google Local Search and Google Local Business Centre.

Vodafone announced that it has been selected to provide the Apple's iPhone in ten new countries. The list of the countries are Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. Vodafone will start to sell the Apple iPhone as early as later this year.
