| | Salman Khan To Host TV Show Dus Ka Dum Date: 05/23/2008: Salman Khan has gotten on the TV show band wagon. First it was Amitabh Bachchan , Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) , Akshay Kumar and now Salman Khan . Salman has been signed to host a Sony Entertainment Television game show called Dus Ka Dum which is inspired by the US game show Power of 10 which will begins on June 6, 2008. | | Sonal Chauhan In Raaz 2 Date: 05/21/2008: Sonal Chauhan has had a good start to her Bollywood debut. Her first movie Jannat (2008) was relased on May 17, 2008 which also happended to be her birthday. The movie has done well at the box office within India as well as overseas. The movie is maintaining it's tickets sales even with the flurry of IPL matches going on in India. The movie also stars Emran Hashmi and is directed by Kunal Deshmukh. Given the success the film has brought the producers, Mukesh Bhatt, they have signed Sonal for Raaz 2 (2008) the sequel to Raaz (2002). Sonal was also recently in the news because of some confrontation she had with her long time companion Sahil Zaroo, an accused in the Rahul Mahajan drug case, at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The incident happended at the Jet Airways counter as Sonal was collecting her boarding pass for a flight to Hyderabad. This is when Sahil Zaroo, who was also booked on the same flight, appeared and seemed liked a minor altercation has started between the two, which ended with Zaroo slapping Chouhan and then throwing Sonal's mobile phone on the floor, then running from the scene. CISF officials posted at the airport caught hold of him immediately. |

Bollywood And Hollywood Movie News: | Bollywood Meets Hollywood Date: 05/19/2008: Bollywood has taken big steps to enter the Hollywood film market. Anil Ambani , an Indian business man, has announced a investment of $1 billion into Hollywood with a series of deals with top stars like George Clooney, Nicholas Cage, Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt. During the recent Cannes Film Festival news emerged that Reliance Big, the entertainment arm of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has invested over a $1 billion into Hollywood. Some of the partners include Mr Cage's Saturn Productions, Mr Clooney's Smokehouse Productions, Mr Hanks' Playtone Productions, and more. India is the largest maker of files in the world, with over 3.7 billion tickets sold every year and more then 1000 films being released each year. | World News, Technology News: | 05/20/2008: On Monday 19 May 2008, Nintendo Co Ltd launched it's long awaited "Wii Fit" exercise game within the United States. The new game hopes to get the couch potatoes and women to join in on the gaming fun. The Wii gaming console has already become a great hit with kids and man. The new game will cost $90 and comes with balance board that will senses shifts in posture. The Wii Fit will offer over 40 activities in four categories including aerobics, strength training, balance and yoga. It will also track users Body Mass Index and weight and provide nice charts of their progress and provide fitness tips. While Microsoft and Sony have put their focus on high definition, ultra realistic games, Nintendo instead choose the other route of trageting more interactive games, which has been an great nice surprise by the industry and consumer. | 05/19/2008: Last week a project was started in Abu Dhabi on building a city that is suppose to create zero emissions. The city will house 50,000 people and 1,500 businesses with a goal of using extremely little energy. The city is expected to cost around $22 billion, of which $4 billion will be provide by the Abu Dhabi government for the infrastructure. Electric transports will provide door to door service using battery powered vehicles with renewable energy and stored onboard in batteries. | 05/19/2008: IBM has developed a way to make concentrated photovoltaic cells that are more efficient in converting the sun's energy into electricity. The technology is based on the on technology used to cool computer chips. The main principle behind the technology is to use a large lens to focus light onto a relatively small piece of photovoltaic semiconductor material and thus using only fraction of the semiconductor material. The solution involves placing an ultrathin layer of liquid metal, a compound of gallium and indium, between the two surfaces. | Sport News: | | Sania Mirza Pulls Out Of French Open 05/19/2008: World No 32 Sania Mirza has decided not to take part in the upcoming French Open starting on May 25, 2008 due to her right wrist injury.
