Tanushree Dutta Tanushree Dutta Controversy

Tanushree Dutta has been caught up into a controversy of sort. It's a case of "he said she said". She was recently at a shot for an item number for a song the movie, Horn Ok Please (2008) with choreographer Ganesh Acharya and actor Nana Patekar when she objected to some dance steps and/or the customs that she had to wear. Tanushree has filed a complaint with the Cine and Television Artistes Association (CINTAA). Tanushree was later replaced by Rakhi Sawant , the well known item girl in Bollywood. Rakhi may also get into trouble for not get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Tanushree before shoting for the item number.
Rani Mukherjee Rani Mukherjee Losses Land

The Maharashtra government took over the land Rani Mukherjee had purchased near Shirdi after the official determined that the purchase was illegal. Rani has paid Rs 33 lakh in December 2005 for the land, but the land could not be transferred to her name as it was owned by the government and leased out to a farmer.

Rakhi Sawant has been signed to perform an item number in forthcoming movie Horn Ok Please (2008) being directed by Rakesh Sarang starring Muzzamil Ibrahim and Rimi Sen . This happended after the Tanushree Dutta , use was to do this item number, acted unprofessionally after she found out that her session with choreographer Ganesh Acharya was a rehearse for the dance steps vs the real shot. Tanushree was also upset after we began shooting and she stated to object to certain dance moves that involved the dancers to touch her. She locked herself in makeup van for many hours and hence the producers decided to replace her with Queen of Item Numbers, Rakhi Sawant .

Deepika Padukone is currently in Bangkok shooting for Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk To China (2008) along with costar Akshay Kumar . It also happens that Ranbir Kapoor is also in Bangkok not to be with girl friend Deepika, but instead to shot a photo session for Filmfare magazine. Other Bollywood stars currently in Bangkok include Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna , Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao shooting for Neera Vora's Shortcut (2008) . And Priyanka Chopra and Saif Ali Khan were in Bangkok last week for an ad shot.

When director Harry Baweja releases is long awaited movie Love Story 2050 (2008) , it will mark the debut of his son Harman Baweja . Harman Baweja is going to play a role opposite former Miss World Priyanka Chopra in the film title Love Story 2050 (2008) . The movie will be the first Bollywood scifi movie and has been a budget of over of Rs 60 crores. The movie contains a lot of special effects and will be in line with many Hollywood movies. Will Harry have the same success as Rakesh Roshan did for his son Hrithik Roshan when he released Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai?

Jodha Akbar (2008) has had a great start for the movie as well as for Bollywood in 2008. The movie has grossed over Rs 120 crore worldwide since its release one month ago. Of that Rs 90 crores from within India and the remaining from the rest of the world. The movie stars the Dhoom 2 pair of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the Oscar nominated director Ashutosh Gowariker . Ashutosh has previosly directed Lagaan and Swades. Even with the bans in several Indian states that was faced by the movie, the movie did very well in the opening weeks. The film was released on 1000 screens of which 400 were through digital cinemas within India. The movie was dubbed in Hindi, Telegu, and Tamil and released in 25 countries in North America, Europe, Asia and West Asia.

Aishwarya will be paid a whopping Rs 4 crores (Rs.40 million) following her Bollywood movie success hat trick with Guru (2007) , Dhoom 2 (2007) and Jodha Akbar (2008) . In comparision Rajnikanth will be paid Rs 15 crores.

Soha Ali Khan has found herself faced with legal trouble. The trouble started in regrads to her father, former cricketer Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, allegedly using a gun issued in her name to kill a black buck Jhajjar district. The gun licence was issued to Soha in November 1996, when she was only 18 years and 1 month old, and the minimum age limit for getting a gun license is 21 years.

Tata and Ford are all set to ink the deal on the future of Land Rover and Jaguar. The first part of the agreement would be the signing of the memorandum of understanding, or MoU, which is expected to be done in London Tuesday and then followed by an official announcement on Wednesday. The acquistion will probably be low key and is expected to fetch USD 2-3 billion for Ford. This will mark a new future for Tata, who recently announced the people's car , the Tata Nano. Tata's Ratan Tata will be at the signing.

Blackberry service providers must work with licensor Research in Motion (RIM) of Canada to provide full proof security system in the country by March 31, 2008 or must stop the services. The Blackberry service is currently being used by over four lakh users and stopping the service will not allow these users to access email in form of SMS. The service is currently provided by AirTel, Reliance and Vodafone. The major issue seems to be that the encryption process applied to email utilizes servers that are located in Russia, United States or Canada, but no servers in India. The Indian security agencies feels that messages through the service cannot be accessed by local security authorities and hence may affect the national security of India.

Microsoft's Open XML document standard not approved by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). ISO member-countries had eceived request for recommendation from ECMA six months ago and ISO will take a final decision based on global response on March 29. Given that more than 95% of Office applications are Microsoft products, this will be a big blow to Microsoft. Now will have to see how this effects the rival ODF format has been developed by a consortium called the Organisation for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) which has been supported by IBM, Red Hat, Sun Microsystems and others.

While the top stop is now taken up by Warren Buffett (American investor), followed by Carlos Slim Helu (Mexican telecom) and William Gates III (Microsoft cofounder). The next three spots belong to Lakshmi Mittal (owner of the world’s largest steel maker), Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani , Anil Dhirubhai Ambani (Reliance Industries Chairman) and then at number eight we have KP Singh (DLF Chairman).

SatNav introduces One India Integrated Map for GPS Systems for major cities in India. The new map includes 30 cities like Mumbai , Delhi, Bangalore , Chennai , Hyderabad , Pune , Ahmedabad and Kolkata (Calcutta) . The maps also include more Points of Interests (POIs).

Comcast and BitTorrent have agreed to become collaborators. A while back Comcast admitted to disrupting file sharing traffic based on the BitTorrent protocol which has caused some stir in what constitutes appropriate "network management" by Internet service providers. Comcast will no reconfiguring its networks to be manage data in a "protocol agnostic" manner.

The fight is on. Two brothers in Calcutta named Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla have developed a online game named Scrabulous. And now the companies, Hasbro and Mattel, that own the board game Scrabble are fighting to get Scrabulous shutdown. Scrabulous is a virtual knockoff of the Scrabble board game and this is not goning well with the companies. Hasbro and Mattel seem to be have been caught sleeping at the wheel. They had their chances to get their games online long time back, but they waited and now some smart enterprenues beat them to the punch. Now the two companies are negotiating with two brothers. Only time will tell how much the two will get, hope it worth their trouble.

India beat Sri Lanka to win the match by 2 wickets in the 49th over to keep their hope alive for a berth in the final. Sri Lanka had a rocky start but a 153 run third wicket partnership between Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara helped Sri Lanka post a competitive 238 for 6. Sachin Tendulkar was out for 0 in the 2nd over but India pulled together and came out ahead with a 76 off 70 balls by Yuvraj Singh and 50 not out by Mahendra Singh Dhoni .

All the Indian cricketers, contracted to the Cricket Board have signed into the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is promoted by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). The IPL is set to begin play on April 18 at Bangalore and has scheduled for 59 match event including two semi finals and a grand final.
