She is currently in New Zealand by invitation from New Zealand Tourism Board and New Zealand Cricket and during her visit she met up with Prime Minister of New Zealand, John Key. During her visit she plans to watch the cricket one day series between India and New Zealand. But no worry, it was Mr Vijay Mallya , Chairman of the United Breweries Group and Kingfisher Airlines who ended up winning the memorabilia for a price tag of $1.8 million (nearly Rs 9.3 crore) at a New York auction. The items won include his round rimmed spectacles, leather sandals, 1910 silver Zenith pocket watch and the brass bowl and plate. Vijay Mallya plans to donate the items to be placed in a museum. Vijay Mallya firm UB Group owns the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the Indian Premier League. | 03/06/2009: Oil rich Abu Dhabi has taken upon itself to build a green metropolis, a zero emission city in the desert. It will take more then $22 billions to build and is planned to be completed in 2016. This could mark the worlds first car free, zero carbon dioxide emissions, zero waste city. The city will be built on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi city. The city will run almost entirely on energy from the sun, garbage will be sorted and recycled, sewage will be processed into fuel.
