After being together for alomst four years, Bollywood actress and part owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab, Preity Zinta has confirmed an end to her romantic relationship with Ness Wadia. Both are also part owner in the IPL team Kings XI Punjab and are currently in South Africa were the matches are being played. The rumor about their splits has been in the air for a while, but Preity finally confirmed the split via an email to her team.

Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna and the organizers of Lakme Fashion Week could be arrested soon in response to the complained registered by social activist, Anil Nair. The event in question is the unbuttoning of Akshay's pants buttons by Twinkle at the Lakme Fashion Week last week. The Indian goverment made many attempts to halt the auction of the memorabilia of Mahatma Gandhi but failed to do so. But no worry, it was Mr Vijay Mallya , Chairman of the United Breweries Group and Kingfisher Airlines who ended up winning the memorabilia for a price tag of $1.8 million (nearly Rs 9.3 crore) at a New York auction. The items won include his round rimmed spectacles, leather sandals, 1910 silver Zenith pocket watch and the brass bowl and plate. Vijay Mallya plans to donate the items to be placed in a museum. Vijay Mallya firm UB Group owns the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the Indian Premier League.

International Business Machine (IBM) India recently announced that it had developed a new internet browsing technology which enables users to talk to the web and hence allow the creation of voice enabled websites. The protocol is called Hyper Speech Transfer Protocol (HSTP) similar to the text based HTTP. This could allow for applications typically from a mobile phone to be used with voice.

A 6 month old Portuguese water dog was selected by the Obama's to be their first pet. President Barack Obama 's daughters, 10 year old Malia and 7 year old Sasha, named the black and white pup, Bo. The dog was a gift from Sen. Edward M. Kennedy who himself owns several Portuguese water dogs.

Sania Mirza Miami Sania Mirza And Chuang Chia Win MPS Group Doubles Title In Florida

Sania Mirza and her doubles partner from Taiwan, Chuang Chia Jung won the MPS Group doubles title in Florida. The unseeded duo stunned the top seeded pair of Czech American of Kveta Peschke and Lisa Raymond 6-3 4-6 10-7 in a one and a half hour battle to notch their first title together. The win helped Sania jump 11 places to the 59th position in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings in doubles while her singles ranking still stand at 100. Chuang jumped three places to be at the 14th spot. The duo had just recently reached the semi-final at Miami last week.
Now Sania will play in the USD one million Family Circle Cup clay court tennis tournament, and will face Kazakh Sesil Karatantcheva in the opening round. They last played against each other back in 2004, and ended up losing.
